Customer Review: Gave to a Mini-Enthusiast….He Loved It
Gave this book for Christmas to someone who is restoring a 1963 mini. He has restored several other cars and is well adept with engines/restoration. This is his first mini restoration.
The recipient loved the book. He said it covered the engine comprehensively and with good diagrams. I was able to look at it myself, and it indeed has step-by-step in depth pictures and explanations about a variety of engine components and body projects one might undertake. The main strength is the clarity and depth of instruction on addressed topics.
The range of information seems quite useful if one is completing a restoration of any magnitude– from engine to body repairs.
This said, it does not really address engine building from the ground up– it presupposes an intact engine. I found there are several other books written specifically about these engines (if you are starting ground-up), and but this addresses repairs and maximizing performance.
The photos are quite nice, and the book large and glossy. It is a reference book that should be on the shelf of any mini owner. Buy from here…

I really enjoyed the movie. My husband had never watched the movie and It was new to my grandkids, it was the quality of Mary Poppins. I came in a week I was very happy.A GREAT BARGAIN for such a quality family movie.
Customer Review: Great Package
This comes with the full screen and wide screen versions of the movie with an additional DVD loaded with extras. It also has a booklet with great photos and a basic story line. Our family loves this movie and if you do also you will love this DVD set. The first disc we received was defective but Amazon came thru with stellar customer service as always. Buy from here…

Customer Review: lousy fit, poor protection
It has a poor fit on my Nissan Sentra (big enough, just lousy fit) and you have to cut a hole for the antenna yourself. I have owned it for couple of months and noticed the dirt accumulates under the cover on the car after few days.
If I leave the car uncovered, it collects only dust and pollen (CA), which ironically looks “cleaner” then if I leave it under the cover. It defies its purpose, stay away for this and get cover made to fit your model. Or buy cheaper cover at Target.

Customer Review: A timeless video
My purchase and delivery of the VHS movie ” Evel Knievel ” was easy and prompt . However , I disliked the product because the video reproduction was faint and grainy (poor). Also , the sound reproduction was very noisey,cracking and had blank spots (terrible) ! I’ve enjoyed similar products from indiviguals selling a “used” movie , more than this unopened
item ! My rating is up because the original film is very entertaining ! !
Customer Review: Fun, typical early 70′s “road” film
I saw this in a theater, for a “children’s matinee”(the original version had some racey stuff in it,and it may have carried an R or at least cautious PG rating, but other versions were edited for the kiddie market), it only ever seemed to play 2nd run in smaller theaters(and 2nd billing at Drive Ins) between 1971 and ’73. VERY typical of early 70′s filmmaking when just about anyone could make an indie film and get it easily distrubuted to “theaters and drive-ins near you”.
This low-end DVD sadly, maybe from the only copy available-on faded 16mm-it is on several other “public domain” labels(“Public Domain” is when a film falls out of copyright because it’s been edited different ways by different distributors and theaters and the original makers simply lose track of it, or disown it altogether). Still it is a product of it’s time. They don’t make’em like this anymore! A fun “road” movie from a more fun and carefree time.
