Customer Review: “ok”
this item is “ok”. Its not as sturdy as other ipod car kits. Be careful driving over bumps bc it just may come out of the car charger.
Customer Review: Wires are easy to snap, this broke very quickly..
This FM Transmitter worked pretty good with my IPOD Video until the wires leading into the unit from the adapter plug broke off at the soldered connection. The rigid plug is attached by a screw to adjust the angle. I adjusted it or took it out of my car too many times (like about 6 times) and the wires broke. Keep in mind, it’s like a cantilever or post coming off a “brick”, bad design. There is no cord, nothing flexible, just a stick to plug into your car.

Other bad things about it:
IT’S HUGE! The whole neighborhood knows you have one. This makes it more of a challenge to find a place to put it so you don’t attract theives. I heard Satechi is adding a cup holder on the next version.
The power and tuning buttons didn’t work all that well, good thing it comes with a handy remote.

Good things: The sound quality was great in both my truck and car for the 6 times total I used it. I thought the spring loaded “clamp” was pretty neat.

I don’t know if I will bother sending it back as I’m sure it will happen again, I may just not waste my time, write off the 30 bucks and buy a different transmitter. Maybe you can adjust the plug angle to where you want, but then duct tape it so it doesn’t move, hmmmmm. Buy from here…
